DO WE HAVE TO CARRY OR CART THE BOATS? WHAT KING OF FITNESS LEVEL DO I NEED
We do all the heavy lifting for you. We are not racing, nor are we fighting the high seas, however, during our ocean ventures, a moderate level of fitness and coordination is required. Our mangrove paddle is flat water and you can paddle at your own pace and speed. All of our kayaks are sit-on kayaks, very sturdy and some of the most comfortable kayaks you will find.
CAN I JUST WALK UP AND RENT A BOAT?
Depending on our tour schedule, we may not be down by the beach, so best to contact us on Whatsapp or if you're in Domi, just head down and check. We are usually there from Wednesday to Sunday from 8AM to 2PM.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER ISN'T GREAT
Costa Rica weather can be very unpredictable, we do our best to keep our tours on our schedule but there may be times where inclement weather may cause water conditions to be unsafe and we may be forced to shut down. Dress for the weather and plan for anything, you just never know in the land of micro-climates when the rain will hit.
ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR RENTALS OR EVENTS? IS IT SAFE??
Our mangrove paddle is suitable for all ages and all paddling skill levels. The water is calm and there is a little current. For our sunset paddle, we will be navigating through the surf into calmer waters but the Pacific does have some life. IF you are prone to being seasick, have very poor upper body strength, please either book a double kayak with a strong paddler or you can request via email or whatsapp that our guide take you with him. We do restrict single kayaks and paddle boards to 18 years and above but if there is a moderately strong adult in the kayak, we are happy to have you in a double kayak. Our overnight events are designated for those aged 18 and above.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
Payment and bookings are done through our parent company Paddle On Inc. and is paid through Paypal, Apple Pay or Credit Card. You are also more than welcome to book at our canopy tent and pay cash. We will simply ask you for your contact details so you receive any updates and for each tour, we add everyone to a Whatsapp group to share pictures and keep everyone in the loop about any updates.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand things come up in Costa Rica and we ask you to understand that a lot goes into preparing for these tours. Food is purchased, cars are booked, trailer and gear is loaded and guides are prepared. If you need to cancel, please do so 48 hours in advance and we'll be happy to refund you minus a $10 booking fee. If you cancel within 48-24 hours of your tour, we will provide you 50% of your tour. If you are within 24 hours, we are sorry but no refunds within this period. We encourage you to book when you are 100% sure.
If weather or conditions force us to cancel a tour, we will do our best to schedule another tour as is convenient for you. If you cannot reschedule, we will refund you entirely.
